Twitter’s most important advantage is in its simplicity
I’d say this is more true than ever, now that Facebook has acquired Friendfeed. I personally believe that the value of this advantage will dissipate over time, as people become inherently more skilled at navigating the web - and ultimately choose a greater set of features (facebook) over simplicity (twitter).

I’d still argue that Twitter has an inherent advantage over Facebook because it is so much simpler to use, resulting in a much lower barrier to entry. But naturally, with the complication comes a lot more data, so it’s a trade-off.Read more at www.techcrunch.com

Re: http://bit.ly/186ovK @egoldstein Neither application require a great deal of brain power. If you are to get the most from Twitter, the learning curve is a little steeper. Facebook is much simpler to use in my opinion. Twitter requires a user to know about @signs d signs #hashtags block, follow and following. Twitter doesn’t have a great help section, so it requires the user to use a little more thought process on how to effectively
That’s true - good point Neal. My wife has tried, but hasn’t yet gotten the hang of those aspects of twitter. because of this, she barely ever uses it.

Thanks Glenn…i appreciate your comment. Your sentiments are very much in line with what led us to use the words “Recommend” and “Thanks” for the actions on Amplify. Felt like they’re very positive and kind ways of effectuating their purpose.
So far, the comments on Amplify that I’ve read are much more civil than what seems to be customary on the Web. If civility can replace the name-calling, that would be nice. That said, I do not stand as a icon of purity. I, myself, have lapsed pathetic at times.
